Serie A: Venezia Coach Lauds Adams After Goal Against Napoli

Venezia manager Davide Nicola has praised Nigerian striker Akor Adams following his decisive contribution to the club’s 1-0 victory over Napoli in Serie A on Saturday.

Adams scored the only goal of the encounter at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo, helping Venezia secure a memorable win against the Italian champions.

The striker broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half after capitalising on an error by Napoli defender Benoit Badiashile before calmly firing the ball into the net.

The victory marked Venezia’s second win in the Italian top flight this season, while Napoli suffered their third defeat of the campaign.

Despite praising Adams, Nicola admitted that he prefers to focus on the team rather than single out individual players. However, he acknowledged the Nigerian’s commitment and contribution to the squad.

“I don’t like to talk about individuals. Adams puts his heart and soul into it, he has some very important qualities, he helps the team,” Nicola said, according to Pazzidifanta.

The Venezia manager also highlighted the striker’s potential for further development, adding: “Akor has incredible room for improvement.”
