Brighton & Hove Albion have reached an agreement with Championship club Millwall to sign Nigeria international Femi Azeez.

According to The Athletic, Brighton will pay £12.5 million for the 25-year-old, with a further €2.5 million available in add-ons depending on certain conditions.

The transfer could become a record sale for Millwall and may surpass Romain Esse’s £14 million move to Crystal Palace last summer.

Azeez is expected to sign a four-year contract with Brighton, with the option of extending the deal for another year. The transfer will be completed after he undergoes his medical.

The Nigerian winger was one of Millwall’s standout performers in the Championship last season. He made 37 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists.

His impressive performances also earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season, further increasing his profile ahead of the move to the Premier League.
