‘You’ll Keep Seeing Us Everywhere’ — Veekee James Fires Back At Troll Over Husband

Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James has responded to criticism over how often she appears in public with her husband, Femi Atere, saying they have chosen to build their lives together.

Veekee made the remarks in a video shared on her social media page after a troll claimed that her husband did not have “a life of his own” because he is always seen accompanying her to events.

Responding to the comment, the fashion entrepreneur said marriage is about sharing life with one another and insisted that both she and her husband are deeply committed to each other.

She said:

“Yes, my husband does not have a life of his own. His life is my life, the same way I don’t have a life of my own.

“My life is his life. He is me and I am him. Together we are like padlock and key.”

Veekee added that those criticizing their relationship do not understand the true meaning of marriage.

She said:

“When you marry your own, separate him. When you marry your own, remove him from your life and keep him somewhere else.

“You don’t know what marriage is. His life is mine, my life is his. Everything he is, is mine.”

She stressed that marriage means partners sharing every part of their lives instead of living separate lives.

Veekee also made it clear that she and her husband will continue attending events together despite the criticism.

“You’ve not seen anything. You will see me and my husband anywhere possible, everywhere possible, you will see us.”

She ended the video on a light-hearted note by jokingly describing her husband as her “personal handbag” while sharing clips of them together.
